I gained experience in various terroirs, primarily in Burgundy, before becoming a vineyard manager on an organic estate in Beaujolais. In May 2015, I settled in the Bugey region, leasing 1.5 hectares for three years. Then, in 2021, I took over a 10-hectare estate. The grape varieties are 90% Melon de Bourgogne from different Muscadet Crus, with the remainder being Folle Blanche, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
In the vineyard, the choice of organic and biodynamic farming is a natural one. This implies respecting the soil and the vines, avoiding excessive production through aggressive methods. Of course, work is carried out in accordance with the lunar calendar and the rhythm of the constellations. The practice of phytotherapy forms the basis of vine care: liquid manure, herbal teas, and essential oils. Integrating animals into the vineyard is part of the cultivation philosophy; introducing complex biodiversity helps to balance the agro-ecosystems.
For the wines, respect for life is paramount; preserving the neutrality of the grape varieties and terroirs is the estate's guiding principle. The idea is to nurture the wines to their full potential, like a shepherd guiding his flock, without going off in all directions. The estate has been in conversion to organic farming since 2021.
