I spent 20 years in geophysics, admiring the world and its wonders, letting myself be carried away by its immediate pleasures. Then, contemplation gave way to the desire to act, to become part of a longer-term endeavor. To be a companion to nature, with the utmost respect and necessary humility.

After two years of training in organic viticulture alongside Jacky and Véronique Ripoche at Domaine des Noades, I had the opportunity in October 2016 to take over part of Philippe Gourdon's vineyards. Gourdon was a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in the Saumur region. 2017 was my first harvest. The estate covers 3.8 hectares spread across five parcels around the village of Puy Notre Dame, the highest point in the Saumur region. Since 2009, Saumur Puy Notre Dame has held an appellation for its red wines due to its ability to produce great wines for aging. The vines are cultivated according to biodynamic principles.
