Château Lescaneaut - Pascal Boueix & Malika Faytout-Boueix
For the record, with my husband Pascal, I cultivate vines in Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux. It is a small family estate of 8.80 hectares cultivated organically since 2009.
We have also been engaged in biodynamics since the end of 2020 to bring strength and energy to our vines while respecting the cycle of the seasons.
For us, our vines are part of an ecosystem and we have a lot of biodiversity thanks to our woods and our hedges.
We are artisanal winegrowers who quietly age our wines, taking care not to put any input into our NATURUM (Nature-men) cuvée that we have been making since 2017.
We only have two cuvées, Château LESCANEAUT and the Naturum cuvée.
We vinify our grapes with spontaneous fermentation and gentle extraction to respect the terroir as much as possible. We are strong supporters of the fact that wines are not the same year after year. We do not therefore seek to “smooth” our wines in the cellar. Each year, we adapt our efforts to the climate but remain humble in the face of Nature.
