The terroir, typical of the Côtes de Beaune on the right bank of the Garonne, is predominantly clay-limestone with a gravelly ridge on the plateau known as Peybrun (the brown stone). The southwest-facing slope allows the grapes to reach excellent ripeness. The altitude of the hillside provides a climate highly favorable to viticulture. The vines are planted with traditional grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc for the reds, and Sémillon, sometimes with small touches of Muscadelle and Sauvignon Gris, for the whites. The reputation of this terroir is centuries old!
Upon our arrival, we began converting the vineyard to organic farming (certified AB). We aim to support biodiversity by planting trees and respecting our soil. We use plant-based liquid fertilizers and herbal teas to nourish the vines and follow the lunar cycles to guide the grapes towards ever-increasing quality.
In the winery, we aim to use as few inputs as possible to allow our terroir to express itself fully. Depending on the vintage and the quality of the harvest, we decide whether or not to make all types of wine: red, dry and sweet white, naturally sparkling, and rosé. For winemaking, we use hand-harvested grapes, indigenous yeasts, gentle vinification, no filtration or fining, and a touch of SO2 (volcanic sulfur dioxide) at bottling when necessary.
We sell our wines at the estate and to wine merchants and restaurateurs selected for their love of wine, in order to share our philosophy as close as possible to the end consumer.
No orange wines at the moment.
