“Susucaru” (Rosato) - 2016 - Frank Cornelissen 👁: Plum/portwine-ish color 👃🏻: Quite deep n earthy, beets. 👅: Light with a hint of zest/spark! Sour cherry 🍒& dried...dates?! Like a orange-ish rosé! -Yummy! 🍇: Malvasia, Moscadella, Insolia & Nerello Mascalese. 🌳: Mix of old & new vines. 24 hectares. 🌋: Volcanic! 🗺: Etna - Sicilia. Alt: 600-1000m. 🌦: Colder than rest of Sicilia! Harvest: Mid-October/Early november (manual). Fermentation: Maceration for 10 days Aging: Epoxy tanks, 2500-7000 liters Filtered: 1 micron PE cartridges before bottling. Clarified: ❌ Sulphites: 5-30mg/L. Natural/Added depending on grape quality. Alcohol: 11.5% Production: 18750 L / 25000 bottles Organic - Traditional - I.G.P Drunk @ “FUD”, Via Santa Filomena 35, Catania.

Marasca,ciliegie e succo viscoso di melograno fondo di cioccolato e melanzana.Fuoco e sale ,vibrazione rettilinea controllata in leggera discesa verso il centro del mondo. Buonissimo,vino da sete e da “ri”sete da abbinare a tutto e a niente. Sfrontato verso le canoniche e paradigmatiche regole vinose. Nome che sostituisce finalmente il mio intercalare Orvietano da “diocaro”a susucaro e bottiglia bellissima,trasparente che lo diventa ancor di più pochi istanti dopo aver fatto saltare il tappo. Susucaro.

Cosmic volcano wine, dynamic , unique....and in my bottle was a Jerry Garcia solo.....
