Jean Baptiste is originally from Patrimonio and has owned fallow land since the Second World War where his great-grandparents made wine and fruit trees for barter.
In 2018 we did two years of work, clearing, etc. and we found the entire enclosure in stone terraces that we preserved.
We plant our whites in 2020 (vermentinu: with which we make simbiosi blanc), our reds in 2021 and 2022 (nielucciu and granache with which we make simbiosi rouge and the blanc de noir). In parallel we will recover an old plot in co-planted vineyard leases: uni blanc, muscat petits grains and vermentinu with which we make our maceration white: Inseme.
We do not use any additives in our wines. The yeasts are indigenous. No sulfites added in our red and less than 17mg/l in our whites.
We work by hand, no phytosanitary products are used in our vines: plowing is done by horse and hoe by hand.
We harvest by hand in small crates. We currently have 5 and a half hectares. 3 hectares planted in high density. Our reds are trained on stakes. We do not have an oenologist and we make our own wines.
We continue to work as nurses while we are able to live from our vineyard. Our family and friends help us a lot as well as our 16 year old son Vincent who shares our adventure.
