La Ferme des Sept Lunes - Jean Delobre & Jacques Maurice
Initially, in the heights of the Ardèche between Vienne and Valance, this farm was intended to be polyculture.
Jean's grandparents worked cereals, orchards, herds and vines. The wine was then a table wine of current consumption. Parents in the 60s chose the cooperative cellar and the wines in appellations. The culture of wine is changing and it is in this context that Jean Delobre in 1984 continues the work of peasant-winegrower.
In 1997, he created and joined a group of "organic" winemakers at the cooperative winery. First 1ha then the whole farm is converted to organic and biodynamic agriculture for the vine.
From 2001, he led his biodynamic vinification solo.
The harvest is manual. The grapes are picked healthy and fully ripe.
Zero yeasting, no addition of enzymes, yields of 35hl / h, daily handling with pumping over and punching down without extensive extractions. The juices which macerate for around twenty days are not filtered and ferment in open concrete tanks, they are slightly sulphited, only if necessary.
