Son and grandson of a winegrower, Jean-Claude Lapalu has lived in Brouilly since 1982. At first, he sells his harvest to the cooperative. In 1996, he began to make his own cuvées, first in a conventional manner .... before deciding to follow the precepts of Jules Chauvet. Today the estate consists of 12 hectares of Gamay on the granite soils of the Monts de Brouilly. An important part of its vineyard is made up of old vines. In order to preserve the microbiological life of the grapes and the soil as much as possible, work in the vineyard is done in organic farming. No input to the vineyard as in the cellar, extremely careful sorting of the grapes at harvest time to keep only the crème de la crème, sweet and almost non-interventionist vinifications This meticulous work in the vines and in the cellar allows him to develop wines of great delicacy, fleshy, fresh and incredibly digestible.
