After spending 15 years as an agricultural worker, including 6 years at GAEC Dard&Ribo and a winter season at Domaine des Entrefaux, my project led me to create a farm from scratch, relying on family land that I was able to lease back to plant vines.
The estate now consists of 11.6 hectares of organically farmed vineyards.
The plots include 800 meters of hedgerow to recreate areas of biodiversity. We have installed nesting boxes for bats and tits. Continuing with our focus on biodiversity, a mini-beehive completes the picture.
On the wine front, I aim to highlight the grape variety and the vintage. The idea is to favor single-varietal wines and work with individual vineyard plots. Winemaking is as non-interventionist as possible, using indigenous yeasts. Sulfites are kept to a minimum. The wines are intentionally simple and straightforward, in order to recapture the expertise of our predecessors. The wines undergo a brief period of aging in oak barrels, without overpowering them.
The vineyard area has just been expanded with new plots of old vines in Crozes-Hermitage, located on the heights of Chanos-Curson, benefiting from a very nice terroir composed partly of red clay, which gives very nice results, especially on the white Marsannes.
