Pipeño Finca 2018

9.4 / Dressner / $20 / 1 Liter / I'll just start by saying this wine is a steal at this price. I'd happily pay $35 for a 750ml bottle, but this baby is $20 for a whole liter. Lovely floral nose with super unique pithy bitter grapefruit taste. Such a cool wine. While I'm also a fan of his Pais in his Pipeno series, I only go back to that on occasion. The smokiness gets to ya after a while. This one is a straight banger though. Solid gold, truth be told. Bought two bottles. I should have bought ten cases. I remember when it ran out last year and i missed it so much. Glad to see new vintage. Gonna make sure to stock up this time. I think i forgot how good this. Love love love love this wine. Reporting back to note that the 2019 vintage while also excellent, doesn't have as predominant level of pithy bitterness. Makes it not quite as interesting, but even more drinkable. I bought all the bottles available! 😉
