He began by planting a variety of grape types across different plots of land in the Vlora area, including both international and Albanian varieties, to assess which ones would best suit his terroirs over the first three years. In 2010, he planted his first vineyard, named Balian, covering 5,000 square meters. Located in the village of Risili, just 10 km from Vlora and 10 km from the Narta lagoon, Balian is surrounded by rolling hills, fields, and mountains. This village offers a unique terroir and microclimate for viticulture. To the east, 2 km away, lies the Shushica River, while to the west, 6 km away, is the Adriatic Sea.
