Having migrated to Sydney from a small village in Greece in 1962, Aristotelis& anthoula longed for the wine he grew up making and drinking , so in 1985 they started making theur own in their garage in the beachside suburbs of Sydney. Over 30 years later, along with their son Tony, the decision was made to open this special family product to the public, and Aristotelis ke Anthoula was born.
Based in the coastal NSW, the focus is on producing pure expressions by being as hands off as possible and letting the wine speak for itself.
All fruit is hand harvested, the whole process is undertaken by hand with no pumps and very little electricity used, and underpinned by the simple idea that wine should be made from just grapes – wild fermented, unfiltered, unfined with no sulphur or other additives whatsoever added at any stage.
All our wine is hand crafted with very little electricity and no pumps or large machinery. We also make the point of using no single use plastic in the winery, all pallet wrap is landfill biodegradable, and we actually pay our staff above minimum wage. All important points in the greater picture of sustainable and natural wine.
