The Laurent BANNWARTH estate is located in the vineyard 8 km south of Colmar, in Alsace. Stéphane and Régine, joined in 1999 by Geneviève, have been managing the estate since 1987. Recognizing the problems and limitations of conventional viticulture, the estate has been converted to organic and biodynamic agriculture since 2004. Today, respecting the soil, finding the right balance for each plot, stimulating the living is at the heart of all actions. This process continued in the cellar where today the different types of wines are produced with as little external intervention as possible. Thus in 2011 the installation of Georgian jars buried on the ground (Qvevris) was presented as the possibility of going to the end of this process in order to develop maceration wines without any input. chemical, stable and naturally accomplished. Building on the first promising vintages, a cellar is under construction in which a part will be dedicated to aging wines in Qvevri. Le domaine Laurent BANNWARTH est situé dans le vignoble à 8 km au sud de Colmar, en Alsace.
Stéphane et Régine, rejoint en 1999 par Geneviève, gèrent le domaine depuis 1987.
Au constat des problèmes et des limites de la viticulture conventionnelle, le domaine a été convertit en agriculture biologique et biodynamique depuis 2004.
Aujourd’hui, respecter les sols, trouver les équilibres pour chaque parcelle, stimuler le vivant est au coeur de toutes les actions.
Cette démarche s’est prolongée en cave où aujourd’hui les différents types de vins sont élaborés avec le moins d’interventions extérieures possibles. C’est ainsi qu’en 2011 l’installation de jarres Géorgiennes enterrées à même le sol (Qvevris) s’est présentée comme la possibilité d’aller jusqu’au bout de cette démarche afin d’élaborer des vins de macération sans aucun intrant chimique, stables et aboutis naturellement.
Fort des premiers millésimes prometteurs, une cave est en construction dans laquelle une partie sera dédiée à l’élevage des vins en Qvevri.
