JOISEPH is not a classic wine estate. It's correct. JOISEPH represents everything that makes wine what it is. JOISEPH are the people who spend a lot of time and love the vines. JOISEPH are the conversations with the inhabitants. JOISEPH is the environment and nature that shape the wine. Well ... and in a way JOISEPH is a small workshop of nature wine. Founded by Richard Artner, Xandl Kagl and Luka Zeichmann. January 2015. Without cellar, without tractor and without other infrastructure. There were three secateurs. And rubber boots. We defend philosophy and passion: make wine as authentic as possible. We are only the respectful tool .. We pay attention to what nature provides. We create natural wines and let each wine have its individual character. You can call it "sustainable". The generations that preceded us probably said "decent". Cultivation of vines in organic. Natural fermentation. No filtration. We currently cultivate about 6 hectares in the best places of Joiser (limestone and shale) at the foot of the mountain of Leitha with a magnificent view of the lake. Newly planted Furmint and Blaufränkisch teach us patience and recreation .... until 2022 at least.
