La Torretta is located in Grottaferrata, in the area known as Castelli Romani. The company produces wine only with its own grapes and is also dedicated to honey and extra virgin olive oil. Maria and Riccardo Magno, minds and hearts of this company, firmly believe in doing things according to nature, proud to be able to give prestige to the agricultural production of these historic lands. The vineyards are located just below Grottaferrata, about 300 meters above sea level and our terroir is a volcanic soil, made up of Valle Marciana tuff, an ancient stratified gray tuff formed in the numerous eruptions in the external area of the great volcano Latium Volcano. our vineyards are 30-60 years old and are exposed to the south-southwest and trained on the pergola system with 3000 vines/hectare. We make wine using containers from natural materials such as terracotta for the amphorae and local chestnut wood for the barrels. The vinification is based on firm natural principles. The first is the maturity and health of the bunches and berries, only in this way is it possible to let the spontaneous fermentations start, the selection that is made in the vineyard is rigorous to limit the possible problems of the transformation of the must into wine to a minimum. In the last harvests we pass through the rows in several stages to pick only the ripe bunches and leave the others time to become so. Our wines: Bolle di Grotta - Trebbiano-based sparkling wine, obtained through natural refermentation in the bottle Torretta - Trebbiano, Malvasia Puntinata and Malvasia di Candia vinified in cement and amphorae. Castagna - Trebbiano, Malvasia Puntinata and Malvasia di Candia, from the oldest vineyard of the company, vinified in local chestnut barrels. Malvasia - our wine vinified with long maceration on the grape skins of the Malvasia Puntinata variety.

La Torretta si trova a Grottaferrata, nella zona conosciuta come Castelli Romani.
L’azienda produce vino solo con uva propria e si dedica anche a miele e a olio extravergine di oliva.
Maria e Riccardo Magno, menti e cuori di questa azienda, credono fermamente nel fare le cose secondo natura, orgogliosi di poter dare lustro alla produzione agricola di queste terre storiche.
I vigneti si trovano appena sotto Grottaferrata, a circa 300 metri sul livello del mare e il nostro terroir è un terreno vulcanico, composto dal tufo di Valle Marciana, un tufo grigio antico stratificato formatosi nelle numerose eruzioni nella zona esterna del grande vulcano Latium Volcano.

Vinifichiamo utilizzando contenitori provenienti da materiali naturali come la terracotta per le anfore e il legno di castagno locale per le botti.
La vinificazione si basa su dei saldi principi naturali. Il primo è la maturità e la sanità di grappoli e acini, solo in questo modo è possibile lasciare che si avviino le fermentazioni spontanee, la selezione che si fa nel vigneto è rigorosa per limitare al minimo i possibili problemi della trasformazione del mosto in vino. Nelle ultime vendemmie passiamo tra i filari in più fasi per cogliere solo i grappoli maturi e lasciare agli altri il tempo di diventarlo.

Malvasia - il nostro vino vinificato con macerazione lunga sulle bucce di uve della varietà Malvasia Puntinata.
