The Podere La Brigata farm is a very small farm located within the Maiella national park, in the municipality of Pratola Peligna (AQ). The company grows, almost exclusively, wine grapes with a total vineyard area of approximately two and a half hectares divided into three parcels located in the municipality of Pratola Peligna plus a tiny one located in the municipality of Pacentro (AQ) where riesling is planted. Most of the surface is planted with Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, then there is Trebbiano, Malvasia and Moscato. The latest planting was made with two resistant white grape varieties: Sauvignon Kretos and Soreli.
All the vineyards were planted starting in 2002 on land that had not been cultivated for more than 10 years and therefore suitable for the beginning of our project and our basic philosophy which refers to the teachings of the master Fukuoka Masanobu. We have never used chemical fertilizers, herbicides, systemic products, etc. We work the soil as little as possible, we use different mixes of green manure. We produce from 7000 to 10000 bottles, depending on the vintage.
Certifications: we do not have certifications and we think we will never have them; first of all because we produce wine to drink it ourselves, secondly because paying an external body to certify what is normal and vital for us seems absurd.
We currently rely on a friend's cellar for winemaking and bottling. All wines are vinified without any use of oenological adjuvants, we firmly believe that wine is made in the vineyard, we only use (when we deem necessary) homeopathic doses of sulfur dioxide, without ever exceeding 30 mg/l of sulfur dioxide. The production includes five reds from Montepulciano grapes: La Ricerca, La Brigata Rosso, Mamba nero, Cinciaro Rosso, La Brigata Rosato. We then have 2 white wines: Cinciaro bianco, Brigata bianco.
All the work in the vineyard and in the cellar is done by us, we do not delegate anything. We think that only by knowing and experiencing every single step can we obtain a true artisanal wine.

L&rsquo;Azienda Agricola Podere La Brigata &egrave; una piccolissima azienda agricola situata all'interno del parco nazionale della Maiella, nel comune di Pratola Peligna (AQ). L'azienda coltiva, quasi esclusivamente, uva da vino con una superficie totale vitata di circa due ettari e mezzo divise in tre parcelle situate nel comune di Pratola Peligna pi&ugrave; una minuscola situata nel comune di Pacentro (AQ) dove &egrave; piantato riesling. La maggior parte della superficie &egrave; vitata a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, poi c'&egrave; Trebbiano, Malvasia e Moscato. L'ultimo impianto &egrave; stato realizzato con due vitigni resistenti a bacca bianca: Sauvignon Kretos e Soreli.
Tutte le vigne sono state piantate a cominciare dal 2002 su terreni incoltivati da pi&ugrave; di 10 anni e quindi adatti all'inizio del nostro progetto e alla nostra filosofia di base che si rif&agrave; agli insegnamenti del maestro Fukuoka Masanobu. Non abbiamo mai utilizzato concimi chimici, diserbante, prodotti sistemici, ecc. Lavoriamo il terreno il meno possibile, utilizziamo diversi mix di sovescio. Produciamo dalle 7000 alle 10000 bottiglie, a seconda delle annate.
Certificazioni: non abbiamo certificazioni e pensiamo non le avremo mai; prima di tutto perch&eacute; produciamo vino per berlo noi, secondo perch&eacute; pagare un ente esterno per certificare quello che per noi &egrave; normale e vitale ci sembra assurdo.
Attualmente per la vinificazione e l&rsquo;imbottigliamento ci appoggiamo presso la cantina di amici. Tutti i vini vengono vinificati senza alcuno utilizzo di coadiuvanti enologici, crediamo fermamente che il vino si fa in vigna, utilizziamo solo (quando riteniamo necessario) dosi omeopatiche di solforosa, senza mai superare mai i 30 mg/l di solforosa. La produzione prevede cinque rossi da uve Montepulciano: La Risposta, La Brigata Rosso, Mamba nero, Cinciaro Rosso, La Brigata Rosato. Abbiamo poi abbiamo 2 vini bianchi: Cinciaro bianco, Brigata bianco.
Tutti i lavori in vigna e in cantina vengono fatti da noi, non deleghiamo nulla. Pensiamo che solo conoscendo e vivendo ogni singolo passaggio si possa ottenere un vero vino artigianale.
