The Farm Podere La Brigata is a very small farm located inside the park Maiella National Park, in the municipality of Pratola Peligna (AQ). The company grows almost exclusively wine grapes with a total area under vines of about two and a half hectares divided into three plots located in the municipality of Pratola Peligna plus a tiny one located in the municipality of Pacentro (AQ) where it is planted riesling. Most of the area is planted in Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, then there is Trebbiano, Malvasia and Moscato. The last plant was made with two resistant white grape varieties: Sauvignon Kretos and Soreli. All the vines were planted starting from 2002 on uncultivated land from more than 10 years and therefore suitable for the beginning of our project and our philosophy of base that refers to the teachings of the master Fukuoka Masanobu. We have never used chemical fertilizers, herbicides, systemic products, etc. We work the soil as little as possible, we use different green manure mixes. We produce from 7000 to 10000 bottles depending on the vintage. Certifications: We have no certifications and we think we will never have them; before all because we produce wine to drink it ourselves, according to why we pay an institution external to certify what is normal and vital for us seems absurd. Our Wines: we currently rely on winemaking and bottling at the winery of friends. All wines are vinified without any use of oenological adjuvants, we firmly believe that wine is made in the vineyard, we only use (when we believe necessary) homeopathic doses of sulfur, however all our wines do not never exceed 30 mg / l of sulfur The production foresees five red wines from Montepulciano grapes: - The Response - The Red Brigade - Black Mamba - Red Cinciaro - The Rosy Brigade; then we have we have 2 white wines: - Cinciaro bianco - Brigata bianco. All the work in the vineyard and in the cellar is done by us, we do not delegate anything. We think that only by knowing and living every single step can it be achieved a true artisanal wine.
