Domaine Brand was founded in 1956 by Lucien Brand. At the time, the operation was largely polyculture. On more than 15 hectares, there was wheat, tobacco and pasture for animals and only 53 acres of planted vines. Little by little, the farm specialized in viticulture, allowing the share of the vineyard to grow compared to other crops until 1970. Subsequently, Charles Brand established the reputation of the Estate by vinifying dry wines of gastronomy appreciated by Strasbourg locals. In 2001, he gave a turning point in the cultivation method, began a 3-year conversion period and had his vineyard certified in organic farming mode. When Philippe joined forces with his father in 2006, a new impetus was given to their company, which they named Domaine Brand et Fils. In 2015, a new direction was taken: Philippe, wanting to go further in their approach, joined Biodynamic Agriculture controlled by the organization Déméter. He took the opportunity to expand the range of Natural Wines.

Le Domaine Brand a été fondé en 1956, par Lucien Brand.

À cette époque, l’exploitation était en grande partie en polyculture. Sur plus de 15 hectares, il y avait du blé, du tabac et des pâturages pour les bêtes et seulement 53 ares de vignes plantés. Peu à peu, la ferme s’est spécialisée dans la viticulture, laissant la part du vignoble grandir par rapport aux autres cultures jusqu’en 1970.

Par la suite, Charles Brand assoit la réputation du Domaine en vinifiant des vins secs de gastronomie appreciés des Strasbourgeois.

En 2001, il donne un tournant dans la méthode culturale, entame une période de 3 ans de conversion et fait certifier son vignoble en mode de culture biologique.
Lorsque Philippe s'associe avec son père en 2006, un nouvel élan est donné à leur entreprise qu'ils nomment Domaine Brand et Fils.

En 2015, une nouvelle direction est prise : Philippe voulant aller plus loin dans leur demarche, adhère à l’Agriculture Biodynamique contrôlée par l’organisme Déméter. Il en profite pour agrandir la gamme de Vins Naturels.
