After 10 years as an employee in South East Asia, Olivier changed his life to complete a training course in viticulture at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. After graduating, he left to work in a famous New Zealand Estate, Felton Road (biodynamic). Olivier Lejeune returned to France in March 2017 (with wife and child!) With the ambition of taking over the vines. The meeting with Mark Angeli was a trigger and also a great opportunity to learn how to make natural wines, without input, in a soil as rich as Anjou. After visiting several vineyards, Olivier was able to take over plots ideally located on the Montbenault hill, on the edge of Richard Leroy's plot. It is Richard who bears witness to the colossal work that Olivier Lejeune undertook to restore life to vines that were almost fallow. 1 year of picking, manual weeding, uprooting ... but the result is there.
