Olivier B is a committed and generous man, well known in the Ventoux region. He farms 6 hectares all around Mont Ventoux in the communes of Blauvac and Ville sur Auzon.
Faithful to his ethics, he wants to promote the fruit and the terroir by working the vines without chemicals and with as little intervention as possible. The harvest is done manually with sorting in crates.
His know-how and his love for wine can be felt in his vintages, which we can only recommend.

“Wine is first and foremost grapes. 90% of the work is done in the vineyard. My role in the cellar is simply to respect and accompany the fruit that heaven and earth have kindly given in order to be able to taste authentic wines.”

His history

Until 1999, Olivier B gave viticulture courses to people who wish to take over estates. In 2000, he decided to move to the other side of the barrier and created the Cascavel estate with his partner at the time. In 2006, its first vintages were released.

Against all expectations, in 2011 the winemaker announced the upcoming cessation of his activity. This news caused a lot of talk in the wine blogosphere. We talk about him on social networks and the regional and national press relay his story. Orders increased until the situation was righted and we can still taste his superb wines today.

His flagship vintage “Les Amidyves” is a tribute to a deceased friend - Yves, who for Olivier B was an important character in his wine adventure.
