The financialization of the world, the cloning and commodification of living organisms, synthetic chemistry, the oriented selection of plants, yeasts and bacteria, thermal, oenochemical and technological devices, aromatization, winemakers and marketing - among others - pollute, make up and standardize the wine. And the public authorities have given up their information role under the combined pressure of several lobbies. This is why you need to know what we are doing and also what we are not doing to make sense of your "like" or "dislike".
A story of families
From Despagne we inherited our only profession: winegrower; des Rapins all our heritage: White House.
A little geography
The estate is located in a horn, to the south-west of Montagne (Gironde), which interferes between Lalande de Pomerol, to the north, and St-Georges-St-Émilion, to the south, until it pitches Pomerol, at the 'Where is.
A little geology
The 32-hectare vineyard in one piece extends over the clay soils of the plateau and the slopes of two small valleys.
A diversity of vines
Old varieties of Cabernet and Merlot, planted between 1943 and 1964, make up about half of the vineyard.
An ancestral culture
Our living soils are the nourishing soil of our vines. The entire vineyard has been bio-dynamic since the end of 2011 (Demeter 2013).
Ripe grapes
Their strength being in their balance, we harvest, by hand, the ripe grapes, neither green nor overripe, and extract between 25 and 45 hl / ha.
Natural fermentation and traditional aging
Our wines are born from the metamorphosis of musts or juices, little or no sulphite, caused by two fermentations whose origin is only in the grapes from which they were made. We then raise them without any artifice (shavings, oxygen, etc.).
Bottled wines raw, whole and alive
At the end of their aging, they are bottled without being fined or filtered (except effervescent), pasteurized or sterilized.
Natural winemakers, here's the information we need to register you on Raisin.
