We are mother and daughter who, motivated by Mariano Taberner, began in 2022 to make our first wine, Wild fermentation. We are in La Portera, a small village in the district of Requena, with no more than 60 inhabitants. Here the vineyards surround us, and they give us their fruits and colors. We produce at Bodegas Cueva, there we have our warehouses and two small fields, one of bobal centenaria and the other of tempranillo. The winery dates back to 1900 and has a lot of magic inside. This year we also started making a white with Tardana grapes from a neighbor's field. We do not use tractors other than a small one to carry the deposits with microorganisms to treat the vines. That is the only treatment that Lea does along with pruning. Our winery is called “free wines for women” and that means it is for everyone, but made by women, in this case my daughter and me. We believe that the union between women is very important to create, from freedom, that is why we gave that name to our small creative association. For now we only have one wine on the market, it is wild fermentation, a carbonic maceration of bobal of which we made about 600 bottles. It was a very laborious process since we had to disgorge each bottle twice, with the loss and work that this entails, yet we did it happily and with great enthusiasm to be able to share our first wine. The pressing was manual pressing. The labels are hand painted by @liqen, a Galician based in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Somos madre e hija que motivadas por Mariano Taberner, comenzamos en 2022 a elaborar nuestro primer vino, Wild fermentation.
Estamos en la Portera, una pequeña aldea pedanía de Requena, con no más de 60 habitantes.
Aquí nos rodean las viñas, y nos regalan sus frutos y colores.
Elaboramos en Bodegas Cueva, allí tenemos nuestros depósitos y dos pequeños campos , uno de bobal centenaria y otro de tempranillo.
La bodega es del 1900 y guarda mucha magia en su interior.
Este año empezamos a elaborar también un blanco con uva tardana del campo de una vecina.
No utilizamos tractores más que uno pequeño para llevar los depósitos con microorganismos para tratar las viñas. Ese es el único tratamiento que Lea hacemos junto a la poda.

Nuestra bodega se llama “vinos libres por mujeres “ y eso quiere decir que es para todos, pero hecho por mujeres, en este caso mi hija y yo.
Creemos que es muy importante la unión entre las mujeres para crear , desde la libertad, es por eso que pusimos ese nombre a nuestra pequeña asociación creadora.

Por ahora solo tenemos un vino en el mercado, es wild fermentation, una maceración carbónica de bobal del que hicimos unas 600 botellas.
Fue un proceso muy laborioso ya que tuvimos que degollar dos veces cada botella, con la merma y el trabajo que eso supone, aún así lo hicimos contentas y con mucha ilusión de poder compartir nuestro primer vino.
El prensado fue prensado manual.
Las etiquetas están pintadas a mano por @liqen, gallego afincado en Guadalajara, Mexico.
