From our point of view, maintaining some of the viticultural practices that our predecessors have carried out is of vital importance to preserve the culture and heritage of a people. We are three brothers: Raúl, Pedro Pablo and Miguel Ángel We are in the village of Jaraguas, in the Utiel-Requena region. This region forms a relatively flat plateau with an average height of 750 m above sea level. The area is characterized by an average annual rainfall of 450 mm, recorded in the spring and autumn seasons. Summers are very hot and dry, and winters are cold. The soils are reddish-brown in color, with a calcareous and clayey composition, very poor in organic matter, but with good permeability indices. We have approximately 15 hectares of vineyards. The vast majority of our vineyards are very old, they were cultivated by our grandparents and father. Thanks to the love that they have transmitted to us for the cultivation of the vine, we are passionate about the idea of being able to conserve this vineyard, as well as cultural practices. Practices that they and we did when we were children but are now being lost at an alarming rate. We grow the native variety Bobal. This variety is mainly characterized by its large amount of color, which maintains it over time; it has fresh aromas when it is made as rosé, despite not being a very aromatic variety; with high phenolic potential, which makes the wine have character and personality in the mouth. These are frank wines, with high aging potential. We elaborate in a traditional and manual way, completely handmade. We do not use pumps or added yeast, we do not filter or clarify, nor is sulfurous added, so the wine is free of sulfites. The bottling and labeling is manual, the cork that has been used is certified by the Forest Society Council who ensures a responsible use of the forest, and it is Valencian cork from the Sierra de Espadán and Calderona. What we want with this type of elaboration is to try to express the land, the climate and the variety from which it comes. We try to produce a natural and healthy product.
