Peach color, cloudy. Nutty smell, reminds me of sunflower seeds. Grapefruit notes and definitely nutty. Quite unique, I like it.

MACERATO 2019 by Matteo Furlani ------------- Alcoholic drink of Pinot Grigio refermented, from vineyards of about 20 years grown on calcareous soil. Yeasty on the nose with herbaceous notes, renetta apple, slightly spicy. With a slender body, but granite acidity and flavor, a thirst-quenching, satisfying, perky and fresh grape juice, capable of stimulating the taste buds by preparing them for the next sip. A simple docile and disengaged drink, which nevertheless fills and mitigates an insidious and flat afternoon, confirming that FURLANI is synonymous with REFERMENTED. 9.7 / $28 / zero / SelectioNaturel / learned something new from the guy at the wine shop. Pinot grigio grapes are actually grayish purple skinned. So, this "white" grape with extended skin contact results in a hazy pink color instead of being orange. I assumed it was a rosato pet nat, but it's technically an orange. Regardless of it's technical designation, it's super yummy. One of my favorite bottles in recent memory. Soft strawberry flavor with hints of lemon brightness. Barnyardy nose, but not too funky on the tongue. I absolutely love this wine! Was already a fan of their "Alpino" pet nat, this one is on a whole other level. Yummmmmm.
