I was born in Essonne in 1994 far from all forms of agriculture and my ordinary school curriculum was to continue in the path of the history of art-archeology. For lack of an outlet, I wanted to follow my brother in catering and I obtained a sommelier diploma. I spent two years in this environment before leaving for a tour of France in the vineyard. It lasted almost a year, a sort of woofing among the winegrowers. So I went to the Jura and never left. I met Raphael Monnier in 2016 and today I'm starting my fifth harvest at the Ratapoil estate. We have also set up a business together: Avis de Tempête to deal with frequent climatic hazards. I owe a lot to Raphael who taught me almost everything and who allowed me to settle in by letting me take back some rent. At the end of 2020 I will increase to 1.20 hectares. The work in the vineyard is done in a simple way. The vines are obviously organic. With the exception of an atomizer, a mower and a brush cutter, nothing is mechanized. The work of the soil is done with the horse. In the winery, no fining, no filtration, no inputs either, of course. My two plots are in AOC ARBOIS. 85 ares of Chardonnay and 40 ares of ploussard troussard complantation, chardonnay savagnin. My first cuvée is 2019. It was yet another year of frost in the Jura and I was only able to make one piece of white in direct pressing: Bogolan. For Avis de Tempete, together with Raphael, we will be harvesting the grapes in several regions of France. Organic grapes from Alsace, Savoie, Lubéron and Beaujolais that we vinify like our wines, by grape variety and by region / plot.
