We met in 2018 at Maison en Belles Lies where we have worked until now (we are officially stopping in November 2023!!!). We set up our small farm thanks to many people including Pierre Fenals, Julien Altaber and Carole, but also other winegrowers from Saint Aubin like Bruno Larue. We operate 4.5 hectares in different appellations: Bourgogne Aligoté, Bouzeron, Saint Aubin white and Coteaux Bourguignons, Hautes Côtes de Beaune and Auxey Duresses for the reds. We have no trading activity. It was very important for us, especially for Lothar, to only vinify what we produce ourselves. We are certified organic and we have a lot of biodynamic practices (we buy many plants from two incredible women in the Jura, Léa Bossard and Fanny Bertrand). Thanks to these plants (nettle manure, comfrey, burdock, soil life mixture) we try to reduce our doses of sulfur and copper as much as possible during the treatment period. And regular practice of the traditional 500, 500 p and 501! However, we are not demeter certified and do not want to because it is already too much paperwork for Ecocert...! In the cellar we try to be as interventionist as possible. We let the grapes express themselves as much as possible and guide them in the direction they want to take us. We try to have the most lively wines possible. They're not the best, but we try to be as rigorous as possible to have straight and pure profiles. We are not ayatollahs of sulfur-free, but often (when we get there) they are homeopathic doses! We are based in Evelle, in the Hautes Côtes, among cliffs, cows and vineyards. It’s still polyculture around us and we love it!!
