The two vineyards of the company, each one hectare, are located between 350 and 600 meters above sea level, in the Abruzzo hinterland. The first is forty years old and is raised in the Abruzzo pergola, the second was planted two years ago in rows, with mass selection from a seventy-year-old vineyard, on land re-cultivated after years of neglect. Trebbiano and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo are managed in non-certified biodynamic, with the use of minimal quantities of copper and sulfur. Harvest in boxes, totally manual, and spontaneous fermentations. The wines are neither filtered nor clarified and neither sulfur nor other enological adjuvants are added in any of the processing stages. The company takes the name of grandfather, known as Don Carlo. The wines take the nickname it gave to the various members of the family.
