Wa Sud

Kohki Iwata, a very young winemaker of Japanese origin who arrived in France ten years ago, offers us the wines of his Hérault wine merchant WA Sud.

After prestigious internships with nature figureheads such as Olivier Cousin and Jean Foillard, Kohki turned in 2015 to the Domaine des Soulié in Saint Chinian, a vineyard that has been organically managed since 1960. The 27-hectare estate, located at an altitude of 250 meters on clay-limestone soil, is adopting an ecological approach: the estate is 100% self-sufficient in green electricity. It was only a year later in 2016 that he made his first purchases of grapes from this same estate and that he vinifies in the area in complete confidentiality. Certified AB and Ecocert, we are also on a more than natural work in the cellar, clean wines, without inputs and therefore without sulfur.
