After a first professional life in the cultural field, Julien Frappa created his estate in 2019 on the most beautiful terroirs of Beaujolais and Mâconnais (Saint-Amour, Morgon, Côte de Brouilly, Saint-Véran and Beaujolais-Leynes). Here everything is done to work as close as possible to nature, with the objective of recreating a dynamic agricultural ecosystem in order to produce exceptional vintages. The vines are cultivated organically, the soils are worked by horse (and winch on the steep slopes of Mont Brouilly), the harvest is done by hand, nest boxes and fruit hedges are gradually installed in the plots. The vintages are produced with a minimum of intervention in order to remain faithful to their terroir. Acidity and alcohol levels are not corrected so that the wines allow the vintage to express itself. The winemaking is Burgundian-inspired: light pumping over and punching down, gentle pressing (the old-fashioned way with a manual press) and plot work. Aging continues in stoneware jars or oak barrels depending on the vintage. The estate seeks above all finesse, elegance and purity.

Après une première vie professionnelle dans le domaine culturel, Julien Frappa crée son domaine en 2019 sur les plus beaux terroirs du Beaujolais et du Mâconnais (Saint-Amour, Morgon, Côte de Brouilly, Saint-Véran et Beaujolais-Leynes). Ici tout est fait pour travailler au plus proche de la nature, avec l'objectif de recréer un écosystème agricole dynamique afin de produire des cuvées d'exception.

Les vignes sont cultivées en agriculture biologique, les sols sont travaillés au cheval (et au treuil dans les coteaux pentus du Mont Brouilly), les vendanges sont manuelles, des nichoirs et des haies fruitières sont progressivement implantées dans les parcelles.

Les cuvées sont élaborées avec un minimum d'interventions afin de rester fidèle à leur terroir. Les acidités et les degrés alcooliques ne sont pas corrigés pour que les vins laissent s'exprimer le millésime. La vinification est d'inspiration bourguignonne : remontages et pigeages légers, pressurage doux (à l'ancienne avec un pressoir manuel) et travail en parcellaire. L'élevage se poursuit dans des jarres en grès ou en fûts de chêne selon les cuvées. Le domaine recherche avant tout la finesse, l'élégance et la pureté.
