A lover of the land and wine, he decided in 2022 to launch Vins Voctor as a secondary activity and in parallel with his responsibilities as a wine worker. Having neither land nor vines of his own, he started as a “negociant-winemaker”, that is to say he bought fresh grapes (harvested manually by himself) and vinified it in his small cellar located in the village of Cornas. Whenever possible, he only works with grapes harvested in AB. Its suppliers work their vines with great respect for living things: tractor passages throughout the year are quite limited, the treatments are organic with doses of copper metal below the AB regulatory limit and the destruction of the grass is mechanical. In 2022 the plots he harvests are located near Montélimar in the Drôme.
Inspired by the personality and identity emanating from artisanal products, Josimar set out to produce artisanal wines that combine terroir and personality. The main characteristics he looks for in his wines are energy, drinkability, finesse, complexity and length in the mouth. In the cellar, he works with various traditional and simple winemaking methods, with small stainless steel containers, demijohns, very little SO2 and no other oenological input.
