CARLANIA CELLER is a family farm in Barberà de la Conca, we work and live in the village. Agriculture and the elaboration of wine has helped us to give continuity to the cultivation of family lands. In 2007, after a few years cultivating the land, selling the grapes to the agricultural cooperative of Barberà and having done some home-made wine-making, we have the opportunity to be part of the Viver de Celleristes de Barberà de la Basin A pioneering initiative in the country, a project that combines tradition and future, and that helps us to go deep into the world of wine. In 2008, we have already certified our vineyards in ecology and we begin to see that this is the path of respect and of life. In 2009, we leave behind the Nursery, to start making our wines in our micro-cellar. Our wines soon came out with the CCPAE stamp. Since then we have worked in the vineyard and winery every day with more care and with more respect, trying always, to interfere as little as possible in the elaboration process, although, when we think it necessary, we used selected yeasts or added sulfur to our wines Today, in the so-called organic wines, the range of chemicals is so great that you can add that the eco-friendly word for us has lost credibility and value. In 2014, after a difficult harvest, we began to train in biodynamics, and we started to treat the vineyard with biodynamic preparations. In parallel, and for some time now, we personally enter each day more in the world of natural wines, another world. The biodynamic agriculture that we practice has helped us to unite our feelings with the earth and to understand that the wine must be sincere with its particularity that make it unique. Another of our reasons for being as we are is the TREPAT, the autochthonous variety of Conca de Barberà with which we identify ourselves. Since our inception we have opted for this variety, we consider it important to persevere and promote the varieties of the land that we cultivate. Therefore, all the wines of CARLANIA CELLER are elaborated, in part, or in their totality with this grape. For us it is important to feel good about what we do and how we do it and we want our wines to express the work and effort of an entire year in the vineyard, that they do not hide anything and above all they are healthy. We have been drawing a progressive path and touching our feet on the ground with everything we have done in CARLANIA CELLER and our wines have followed us. Wines from the year 2015 are wines made from fermented grapes and nothing more. We do not add yeasts, enzymes, sulphites, neither in the vinification process nor during aging. We do not filter or clarify our wines. The bottles can present some natural sediment and / or Co2. They are lively wines and each bottle is unique and different from others. We make wines with their own character and identity. We intend to transmit these values, this authenticity, illusions, effort, part of us, our lives, in our wines.
