We settled my companion, Florent and myself in the town of Varrains next to Saumur on 1.7 hectares of vines 100% in Cabernet Franc. We are planting 20 ares of Chenin next year to finally be able to produce white wine. We work with the philosophy of biodynamics in our vineyards on a daily basis and the wines are to date sulfur-free. I did not ask for biodynamic certification, given the small area exploited. However, all the vines are grown organically and see 500, 501 and Maria Thune every year. Concerning the treatments, at each passage, we supplement sulfur and copper with herbal teas according to the needs of the vineyard. Alongside this activity, we are a service provider in animal traction. We work 6 hectares in the Saumur Champigny and Saumur Puy Notre Dame appellations with our two horses (Ardennais) Ben and Comtesse.
