VIV Winery is the creation of a family of ancient Piedmontese agricultural tradition, with deep roots in the area between Langhe and Monferrato. Grape growers for many years according to organic farming methods and inspired by the philosophy of Masanobu Fukuoka, in 2020 we started producing our first wines, applying in the cellar the principles of that same philosophy of minimal intervention that guides our work in vineyard. Spontaneous fermentations, no filtration or clarification, simplicity of processing (reduced to a minimum) are the basis of our wine production, where the quality of our grapes remains fundamental. Our wines are a direct expression of the bunches, the vintage and the territory. The farm is family-run and is located in San Marzano Oliveto (AT), in Piedmont. Our wines are eminently anarchic. We have renounced the denomination certifications for most of our wines, including organic certification, to make room for the infinite potential of nature to express itself, without having to submit to abstract rules decided beforehand. The climate changes, the soil changes, the grapes change and the wine changes. The result we obtain on the territory and in the cellar we believe is a more than evident certification. A particularly hot and dry year will correspond to an enveloping and full-bodied wine, a particularly humid year a complex wine full of aromas, and so in infinite variations. This makes agricultural work and winemaking so fascinating.

VIV Winery è la creazione di una famiglia di antica tradizione agricola piemontese, con radici profonde nel territorio tra Langhe e Monferrato. Da molti anni coltivatori di uve secondo i metodi dell'agricoltura biologica ed ispirati alla filosofia di Masanobu Fukuoka, nel 2020 abbiamo iniziato a produrre i nostri primi vini, applicando in cantina i principi di quella stessa filosofia di minimo intervento che guida il nostro lavoro in vigna. Fermentazioni spontanee, nessuna filtrazione o chiarifica, semplicità delle lavorazioni (ridotte al minimo) sono alla base della nostra produzione vinicola, dove fondamentale rimane la qualità delle nostre uve. I nostri vini sono espressione diretta dei grappoli, dell'annata e del territorio. L'azienda agricola è a conduzione familiare e si trova a San Marzano Oliveto (AT), in Piemonte.
I nostri vini sono eminentemente anarchici. Abbiamo rinunciato alle certificazioni di denominazione per la maggior parte dei nostri vini, inclusa la certificazione biologica, per lasciare spazio all’infinita potenzialità della natura di esprimersi, senza dover sottostare a regole astratte decise a priori. Il clima cambia, il terreno cambia, le uve cambiano e il vino cambia.

Il risultato che otteniamo sul territorio e in cantina riteniamo sia una certificazione più che evidente. A un’annata particolarmente calda e asciutta corrisponderà un vino avvolgente e corposo, a un’annata particolarmente umida un vino complesso e carico di profumi, e così in infinite variazioni. Questo rende così affascinante il lavoro agricolo e la produzione del vino.
