We preserve the forgotten grapes of our Alps , which over the millennia have deeply adapted to the territory and are now at risk of disappearing. A straightforward, multifaceted and unconventional wine is born. My name is Giovanni Frapporti and together with my father Mario I cultivate the mountain vineyards in Vallagarina, precisely in Isera in the province of Trento. My father, since he was a child, has cultivated the family vineyards selling his grapes to the Isera winery and to the Ferrari Trento wineries. After studying oenology, and having traveled and worked here and there around the world, I chose to return to the company and start making wine from my best vineyards (about one and a half hectares). For a few years I have started to be passionate about the world of natural wine. I therefore decided to start rethinking the work in the vineyard by completely eliminating the use of herbicides and systemic products. The defense in the vineyard is managed with copper and sulfur, trying to intervene in a reasoned manner. The choice to start planting ancient native vines known for their rusticity , resistance and strong adaptation to the territory dates back to over 6 years ago, this allows us to significantly reduce treatments during the production season. We currently produce two red wines obtained from the union of 3 native varieties of Vallagarina: Marzemino, Enantio and Casetta . The first vintage currently on the market is 2021 of which I have produced 2400 bottles. The fermentation of the grapes occurs spontaneously and without the use of sulphites during winemaking. After about a year and a half, the wine is bottled without being filtered.
