Marinferno is the anagram of "Monferrina", the historic name of the farm and the prime mover of this project. Marinferno is a project born in 2016 to give a new course to a historic farm in the Piacenza area located in Vicobarone, in Val Tidone, in the heart of the Piacenza hills. The company has always been owned by the Sforza Fogliani family, in these lands since 1500. Landscape, creativity and hospitality are at the heart of our project, which marries an idea of sustainable agriculture and tourism. We cultivate aromatic Malvasia di Candia, Ortrugo, Barbera, Bonarda, Pinot Nero. We produce naturally unkempt wines - from organic farming - and we are FIVI members, the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers.
