Sweet citrus aromas , like mandarin, kumquat. Palate well balanced and soft . Wery gastronomic wine
Delicious. Dry. I poured it cold, more cold than chilled. Damn good.
Véritable vin orange. Aromatique, sec, très interessant. Ça donne très envie de goûter les autres cuvées. Abricot.
Colore ambrato, brillante. Olfatto intenso, complesso, fine. Dominante olfattiva: Fruttato, floreale, erbaceo. Pesca sciroppata, polpa di albicocca, arancia e zenzero canditi, gelsomino, felce. Sorso caldo, morbido, molto fresco e sapido/salmastro. Corpo pieno, sufficientemente equilibrato. Intenso, molto persistente, qualità fine. Vino pronto, sufficientemente armonico. Tipico. Denominazione IGP Grad. 11.5%. Macerazione sulle bucce. Affinamento in anfora. Visiva = 14 Olfattiva = 23 Gusto-olfattiva = 43 Conclusioni = 7 Punteggio = 86 vino molto buono. Intraprendente, audace nell'abbinamento, condottiero, manca un pò di equilibrio ma si offre generoso nel rapporto con il cibo. Involtini di Manzo in brodo, nella foglia di cavolo. Si apre successivamente a note balsamiche, legno di cedro, paglia, foglia di eucalipto.
Structured, fruity and (literally) brilliant wine with orange notes in the nose, with taste of ripe pear and peach. Serious stuff.
As always the smaller Sicilian vineyards nail the $30 price point. Not super acidic but some good stone fruit notes. I’m sure the color is throwing a bias but strong taste of apricot. Wouldn’t pair this with fish as much but great with some of the moorish/Sicilian dishes (cous cous would be perfect)
