Adventurous orange wine. Very spicey nose, almost a little overwhelming even. Ginger, laurel, clove, even juniper maybe. Really grabs your attention when you stick your nose in it. And then when you take a first sip it's complex, layered, but in a very delicate way. Much lighter on its feet than you would expect from its whirling spiciness. Not very tannic but nicely structured. Tasted from a bottle that had been open for over a week, amazingly stable wine. Wonderful experience!
⚗ 13% 🇮🇹 San Floriano del Collio (GO), vicino al confine con la Slovenia Naso: molto ricco, con tanto frutto, spezie e note dolciarie, ma anche vegetale e marino. Un ventaglio di profumi sorprendente❗ Marzapane, chiodi di garofano, uva passa e confettura di albicocca. Olive verdi, noce e tante note marine quasi di salsedine. Infine un vegetale molto elegante con sentori di timo ed erba tagliata. Bocca: forza gustativa straordinaria❗ Grande pienezza di frutto, albicocca matura e scorza d’arancia candita, rafforzata da una parte tattile molto marcata con acidità e sapidità importanti e un tannino ricco e vellutato. Pieno, denso e glicerico, ma non manca la freschezza. Finale: note ossidative di grande eleganza, frutta gialla disidratata e agrumi canditi ma anche noce, nocciola e fiori secchi. Lunghissima scia sapida.
Wish We could’ve brought more bottles from Venice. Lighter than the radikon, but equally complex and balanced. Wow.
