Our winery was founded in 2007 by Sven Enderle and Florian Moll. After a year of lead time, we decided at the beginning of 2007 to take the risk and found our own small winery. We got to know each other during our winemaker training, which we both completed between 2003 and 2005 at the Kaiserstuhl. While Sven was learning at the "Bercher-Schmidt" winery in Oberrottweil, Florian spent his apprenticeship at the "Höfflin" winery in Bötzingen. After the apprenticeship, Sven found a job at the organic winery "Dr.Benz" in Kenzingen-Bombach, where he was jointly responsible for the external operations of the winery. Florian went to southern France in autumn 2005 in order to ensure the desired quality at the Chateau Duvivier, mainly in the cellar. During this time, we both independently came into contact with applied biodynamics in viticulture for the first time, some aspects of which still fascinate and inspire us to this day. When Sven got the opportunity to lease a small, well-tended vineyard above Münchweier in 2006, the foundation was laid for "Enderle&Moll", as it existed until 2020. A lot has changed in our company since then. The biggest change was probably Sven's decision at the beginning of the year to leave the company. After taking a longer break since October 2019, he announced in April 2020 that he wanted to withdraw from the winery and use the new year to reposition himself or reorient himself. Of course, I respect this decision and would like to take this opportunity to thank him very much for everything he has done for the company since 2007, the year we were founded. Without him, the company would definitely not be where it is today. We wish him all the best for the future and a lot of strength for his further way. In the previous years, due to the constantly increasing scope of work and the required work intensity, Géraldine, my partner, had already become an irreplaceable part of the company through her work in the field, in the cellar and especially during the grape harvest. In addition to this, however, due to our growth in recent years, the need for further reinforcement for the basement and/or outdoor operations has become more and more urgent. That's why we were all the more pleased when, in the summer of 2019, we came into contact with Maxence Lecat, a French cellar master who had already worked in Burgundy and most recently at 00-Wines in Oregon /USA. Ultimately, after some very good discussions, Maxence started working for us in February last year in order to guarantee the quality of our wines in the cellar (and, if necessary, in addition to Manfred Enderle, Géraldine and me in the outdoor area). Maxence worked with great enthusiasm and pleasure in our company structures within a very short time and took on a key role in the company within a few months. Manfred Enderle and his wife Leonie, who have been supplying us with excellent grape material for many years and who cultivate their vineyards, which are in the immediate vicinity of our pieces, with exemplary care and dedication, have also had a major role for a long time. In the last 2 years, the cooperation between the two and Enderle&Moll has intensified a lot with the result that we now cultivate all our vineyards together and at the end of last year we started to convert all vines to bio-dynamic cultivation. This new composition created within a year a very lively field of tension between grown work processes and work experience on the one hand and new ideas and dynamics on the other hand, which our last year's class will also express in part. All in all, we will try to produce even more differentiated and finer wines by completely converting our common vineyards to bio-dynamic cultivation and by even more gentle and careful vinification and processing of the grapes in the cellar, in order to ensure the quality and typicality of our wines in the years to come to guarantee and further develop . In this new team we are looking forward to all the challenges that will come our way in the coming years and we are looking forward to the coming vintages with all their special features.
