Born from a thirst for freedom and independence, the estate was born in the first snows of December 2017. Half perched on a hill, in the village of Dezize-les-Maranges in Burgundy, this tiny 2.70 hectare estate is the result of rare human encounters, hard work and a lucky star. Located on the Côte de Beaune, at the foot of the Montagne des Troix Croix, the Maranges appellation is the union of three villages (Dezize-les-Maranges, Sampigny-les-Maranges and Cheilly-les-Maranges). From an agro-ecological point of view, its woods, river, meadows and livestock, wildlife, mountains and valleys make this appellation one of the most diverse in the Côte de Beaune. This asset is an asset to be protected ... The work of the vineyard implies a major respect for the plant, the earth and the fauna. Thus, the entire estate is grown organically, supplemented by biodynamic preparations. Falling in love with the gentle hilly landscapes of the Maranges, it is with great pride that I cultivate the vines of this appellation of character, thus perpetuating one of the oldest cultures of mankind: the vine. The harvest is manual and the grapes are transported in crates to prevent deterioration. No machine could replace the precision of the hand and the judgment of the eye. So I am bringing together a fabulous team of grape pickers, who, beyond eating, drinking, laughing or moaning, rigorously sort the grapes in the vineyard so that only the finest end up in the vat ... For white wines as for red wines, no new barrels are used. Not wishing to denature my wines or betray their terroirs, no oenological yeast is introduced, no oenological product is used except for low doses of sulfur to protect the wine from possible bacteria ...
