Canlibero was born in 2011 in Torrecuso, the name is a calembour involving "San Libero", protector of Torrecuso and the concept of "maverick". Brando was our dog, featured on the labels.
The vineyard is managed organically which is combined with the use of green manure and biodynamic preparations. The grapes are Aglianico, Falanghina, Cabernet Sauvignon, Trebbiano and Fiano.
The phases of our work: selection of the bunches by manual harvesting during the harvest. Spontaneous fermentation. Total absence of sulfur dioxide in all stages of winemaking. No filtration and temperature control.
