Established since 2012, I cultivate 4 hectares of vines at the gates of the Hérault valley in Languedoc on the magnificent terroir of Saint SATURNIN DE LUCIAN, ARBORAS and ANIANE The grapes come from vines benefiting from a very draining clay-limestone soil and a Mediterranean climate swept by the prevailing wind coming from the Larzac plateau. The MAS de BOISSONNADE, already present on the Napoleonic plans, is located 20km from Montpellier and 3km from the village center of GIGNAC. In 2016, when we took possession of the premises, ivy brambles invade the walls. The first harvest arrives in the winery in 2018 Certified in organic farming since 2017, the vines are managed in compliance with the nature and expression of the terroir: application of biodynamic preparations, yields controlled, manual harvesting. In the old vines of Carignan and Grenache Noir, I call on the horse for work below the rank. At the end of winter I start a soft size which often ends as the branches begin to "weep". In spring, I use decoctions of plants: nettle, horsetail, fern... and also recovered whey on the neighboring farm. The care of the vine and its development are subject to the vagaries of the climate impacting the vintage each year. Each plot is vinified separately, then comes the time of blending or not! Vinification is carried out without adding yeasts and other oenological products: follow-up tasting, little analysis, confidence! Bottling takes place at MAS DE BOISSONNADE without filtration and without added sulphites… the true taste of grapes! The wines are natural, digestible: pleasurable wines, wines typical of their vintage and grape varieties.
