Born in Arcachon... I grew up between the Bassin d'Arcachon and Bordeaux.
I studied anthropology more specifically on the themes of environmental protection and living conditions of indigenous populations, in southern Brazil in the state of Paraná, in Guaraqueçaba.
Then I worked in Morocco on the accompaniment of a network of peasants and on the training of farmers by farmers, training by peers.
After my studies I found myself in Auvergne and I discovered natural wine and winegrowers around photographic exhibitions and tastings... and there it was the meeting.
Previously, wine represented for me a very distant world... of castles, estates... of foreign, prestigious environments... far from my representations, from my world, from the field of possibilities.
And in 2012 the meeting with Auvergne winegrowers (Bouju, Beauger, Renard) connects me with my history... the peasantry, family farming, the relationship with nature and the discovery of unknown, vibrant tastes and flavors, which evoke feelings, memories, which move...
Shortly after, I embarked on the adventure (in 2013), with my companion, then alone from 2019.
I bought 2.5ha of vines and then meadows that I am replanting. I am located in the foothills of Livradois-Forez in the south of the Puy de Dôme department.
The vines are surrounded by meadows, wasteland and fir forests and are exposed on a west, north-west slope. They enjoy a view of the Sancy, the Puys chain and the Cézalier with a regular westerly wind reminiscent of the Atlantic sea air.
I feel like I'm here everywhere I've lived: from the Arcachon basin, to the Mata Atlantica, to the Middle Atlas.
Today I have 3ha of vines, of which 2.5 are in production.
The ground is composed of granitic arenas full of quartz and amethyst.
The soil is sandy with an acid tendency, very airy, mineral and rich in metals…
The grape varieties are essentially gamay, chardonnay and pinot noir, syrah, alicante. I planted Riesling, hybrids or resistant varieties, and Chenin, Pinot Gris and Grenache Gris.
I try to be the least interventionist possible.
I have very little equipment (pruner-lawnmower, 4-spout puller, vertical hydraulic press, sandstone jar), no tractor, no treatment equipment (not yet). This makes the work very minimalist and rudimentary and represents risk-taking to be emotionally controlled.
I bring in a service provider to work the soil with the horse, in rotation one year out of three on average, in order to avoid the spread of grasses, brambles, broom, and with the objective of keeping companion plants (yarrow, oregano , strawberries, sweet, horsetail, agrimony...and so many others...).
In the cellar I vinify in sandstone jars, with aging around 8-9 months, the time of a pregnancy. I intervene there again as little as possible. Zero phytosanitary products.
For fermentations, there is no rule, it is as the harvest progresses and the state of the harvest that the choices are made.
Each vintage I appeal to my intuition, it is she who guides me and the harmony with the vine, the grape... we vibrate together, we share our energy... I listen to my grapes and my instinct.
Finding the energy again and again, being well surrounded. To continue to be in love with love as friends tell me and to let myself be guided by the flame within me. To continue to believe in it and to transmit this way of being to the world, to the earth... the synergy of plants, of man and of the plant. The grape, the fermentation of juices as a medium for talking about life, for living in harmony with the land, patcha mama. To be even more connected to the vibrational systems that are beyond us.
