On Lovas, on the characteristic red soil of Kis-hegy, we take care of the almost 2-hectare vineyard. We do all the work in the vineyard ourselves, by hand and with the help of a small tractor. The specific color of the farmland is given by the layer of its main rock and tailings, the Permian red sandstone, rich in silicic acid and iron oxide. We cultivate organically on the small estate, but until the 2020 planted plantation turns to fruit, we buy organic grapes for the harvests that are cultivated nearby. Harvesting is done by hand.
This period is an opportunity for us to learn and develop with the help of the 3,000 bottles of wine produced each year. In the cellar, we like to do all the work manually, from grape processing to bottling. The wines are spontaneously fermented and filled into the bottle by gravity without filtration or clarification. During processing and maturation, the wines do not receive sulfur, only when bottling, a maximum amount of 15-20 mg/l, but only for those batches that I feel the need for.
