Our story begins 60 years ago when my grandfather, Ermete, bought a few hectares of land in the mountain area to devote himself to the production of quality wine. The search for particular terroirs that can give the wine unique scents has always been the vanguard of our family. Podere della Bruciata was founded by a craftsman and such we also consider ourselves of the following generations who with dedication and passion are always in search of excellence in our wines. We are strongly linked to the territory and respectful of its tradition (even those that have almost been lost), while always keeping an eye on the future. We cultivate organically and make wine in a natural way, without the use of synthetic yeasts and making little use of sulfur dioxide. We are always looking for a full and refined taste of our wines, which recalls as much as possible the minerality of the soils where they are produced. We ourselves are the first and most demanding consumers of our wines and we take care of every detail for the love of wine and the joy of drinking it good and genuine. To date, our company produces about 30,000 bottles divided into 10 wine labels, all cru, and produced in limited quantities precisely to best enhance the characteristics of the different soils. The grapes are rigorously selected and harvested exclusively by hand in boxes and only the first choice grapes are vinified on the farm. Most of the wines are Sangiovese-based, but there are some lesser-known ancient Tuscan vines that take us back quite a bit over the years.

La nostra storia inizia 60 anni fa quando mio nonno, Ermete, comprò qualche ettaro di terra in zona montana per dedicarsi alla produzione di vino di qualità.
La ricerca di terroir particolari che possano dare al vino dei sentori unici è sempre stata l’avanguardia della nostra famiglia. 
Podere della Bruciata è stata fondata da un artigiano e tali ci consideriamo anche noi delle generazioni successive che con dedizione e passione siamo sempre alla ricerca dell’eccellenza nei nostri vini.
Siamo fortemente legati al territorio e rispettosi della sua tradizione (anche di quelle quasi perse), pur avendo sempre un occhio puntato al futuro. 
Coltiviamo con metodo biologico e vinifichiamo in modo naturale, senza l’utilizzo di lieviti di sintesi e facendo scarso uso di solforosa. 
Siamo sempre alla ricerca di un gusto pieno e raffinato dei nostri vini, che ricordi il più possibile la mineralità dei terreni dove essi vengono prodotti.
Noi stessi siamo i primi e più esigenti consumatori dei nostri vini e curiamo ogni dettaglio per amore del vino e della gioia nel berlo buono e genuino.
Ad oggi la nostra azienda produce circa 30.000 bottiglie divise in 10 etichette di vino, tutte cru, e prodotte in quantità limitata proprio per esaltare al meglio le caratteristiche dei diversi suoli.
L’uva viene selezionata rigorosamente e vendemmiata esclusivamente a mano in cassette e solo l’uva di primissima scelta viene vinificata in azienda.
La grande maggior parte dei vini sono a base sangiovese, ma non mancano alcuni antichi vitigni toscani meno noti che ci riportano un bel po’ indietro negli anni.
