Alain Maître is like his wine, sincere and whole!
His commitment commands respect. With a lot of patience and passion, he recreates a vanished vineyard, he clears, he plants, he builds, he learns, he gropes... Common sense, observation and humility guide him. Alain is a veritable mine of knowledge, empirical knowledge, which he willingly shares.
After more than thirty years spent investing in this colossal project, he now supports 1.2 Ha in the most natural and respectful way possible. Its vines are a paradise of biodiversity.
And, logically, in the cellar, all interventions are limited to the strict minimum: no unnecessary handling, everything is done by gravity thanks to Alain's ingenious installations. Oenological inputs? To do what? Its grapes are magnificent, and are more than enough to give birth to frank, complex, unvarnished wines! Neither fined, nor filtered, nor sulfites.
When we tell you that a good wine is made in the vineyard...
Because Alain loves sharing, he will soon pass on his estate to a young couple, accompanying them. It is not a simple change of owner, but the transmission of a place apart, of its diversity, and of precious knowledge.
