7.4 / zero / $37 / Dressner / this vintage isn't nearly as interesting as previous vintages. Nice Nerello Mascalese though. Generally im a big fan of mt. Etna wines, but this one is just pretty good. Well, it's opening up a bit as im drinking and im enjoying a bit more. Medium tannins, dark color, slightly rough alcoholic taste. Dense and rugged dried fruit flavor - cherries, raisins, plums. Opened the bottle with a slight chill, which is a bit of a mistake i think. While i do like the bottle, i can't justify the price. My rating reflects the cost. Id rather spend another $15 or so for a bottle of Cornellisen or $15 less for Tami. Know what i mean?
