Somehow delicate and powerful at the same time. Time in the glass brings out lemon and honeysuckle. Great length. Savory, fresh, strong mineral character.

Dario’s theoretically every day white, originally made for the Japanese market (his most important one), manages to be a thoroughly enchanting and unforgettable orange wine. Following Friuli’s Collio’s tradition it’s a variable field blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon carefully selected and picked at full maturity. The grapes, each in separate open vats, see skin maceration of a few days (usually 5 - 7 days) rather than the several weeks customary for his other wines. They age in separate and differently sized local woods until being assembled into this amber-hued supernova of a natural wine. It shimmers and sings with beeswax, pickled apricots, blood orange marmalade, incense and saffron honey with balsamic herbs.
