Claret is the oldest style of Bordeaux red wine and it has been shipped to England for hundreds of years. In the east-end of London gangsters would say “He spilt some claret” referring to blood after the vibrant red colour of the wine style. Demonstrating just how ingrained and important this kind of wine is in England. Sanguis means blood. We just hope you don’t spill a drop of the excellent claret. Sanguis takes us back to the original style of Bordeaux wine, but it feels so fresh and modern. This extremely drinkable light red wine would make a great accompaniment to spicy food.
