Le domaine Laurent BANNWARTH est situé dans le vignoble à 8 km au sud de Colmar, en Alsace. Stéphane et Régine, rejoint en 1999 par Geneviève, gèrent le domaine depuis 1987. Au constat des problèmes et des limites de la viticulture conventionnelle, le domaine a été convertit en agriculture biologique et biodynamique depuis 2004. Aujourd’hui, respecter les sols, trouver les équilibres pour chaque parcelle, stimuler le vivant est au coeur de toutes les actions. Cette démarche s’est prolongée en cave où aujourd’hui les différents types de vins sont élaborés avec le moins d’interventions extérieures possibles. C’est ainsi qu’en 2011 l’installation de jarres Géorgiennes enterrées à même le sol (Qvevris) s’est présentée comme la possibilité d’aller jusqu’au bout de cette démarche afin d’élaborer des vins de macération sans aucun intrant chimique, stables et aboutis naturellement. Fort des premiers millésimes prometteurs, une cave est en construction dans laquelle une partie sera dédiée à l’élevage des vins en Qvevri. Le domaine Laurent BANNWARTH en quelques chiffres : - Année de fondation : fin des années 50 - Surface du vignoble 12 h - Principaux cépages cultivés : Pinot blanc et Auxerrois, Muscat, Sylvaner, Riesling, Pinot gris, Pinot noir et Gewurztraminer - Nombre de bouteilles produites en moyenne 70 000 par an dont 5000 par an en Qvevri - Organismes de certifications : Ecocert et Demeter
