Was pretty unimpressed by Lupo. Pizzas didn’t seem to be that creative or standout compared to most middle of the road Neapolitan pizza. Restaurant rushed me through and allowed no time to actually eat my antipasti before forcing the pizza out. The waiter kept on coming by every 5 minutes wondering why I was taking a while to finish my pizza (at this point I had been in the restaurant for less than 40minutes, had maybe 5 minutes to sit down and order, and another 10min if that to eat my burrata and spritz ). I understand it’s a busy place and you’re trying to roll through covers… But sitting down for less than an hour and ordering drinks, apps, pizza, and desserts, you would expect a little more grace. No real passion behind the wine either. Some of the descriptions are fun on the menu but kind of just chucked on the table. Pretty meh tasting as well considering the emphasis on pairing for pizzas. Overall pretty disappointing considering all the hype. One bright spot was the pistachio ice cream. However, given everything else, I’d look other places to get your natty wine and pizza fix.
Amazing pizzas, also try the sourdough ice cream! All wine is natural and the staff is happy to help. Small selection by the glass and bottles from all over the world. We had a great time!
