WILDE HEIMAT 2015 Sylvaner by @ 2naturkinder. Melanie and Michael in Kitzingen northwest of Nuremberg (Germany), on steep slopes, produce natural wines without the addition of S02, like this WILD HOUSE. Vineyard about 40 years old, on the top of a steep hill difficult to cultivate. About 1/3 of the must ferments with the @sacrebucce for 10 days, the other grapes 2 days, then pressed. They age on the lees for 12 months in large 60-year-old oak barrels, then 24 months in steel. Golden turbid orange, clear elegant and fine notes of forest, cut grass, hay, wild flowers. Medium bodied, good freshness and tasty and interesting mineral taste. Immediate citrine note followed by softer, glycerine and balanced sensations of aromatic herbs and barley candies, closes with citrus flavors of bitter orange and kinotto. The WILD HOUSE of the 2 natural children who transform the Sylvaner from a simple summer wine into an elegant and complex enthralling German wine experience, is really a simple and convivial tasty wine but that offers powerful gustatory intensity. Très très bon ! Une complexité inattendue, coing cuit, amande, calisson. Un tout petit peu sur l’oxidatif. À boire vite.
